Karen Conway
Vice President of Software Engineering, Fidelity Investment
Karen started her career in technology with a B.Sc. honours degree in Information Technology from University of Galway. She is a strategic and results-focused, software development and people manager with 20+ years’ experience in Fidelity Ireland, managing diverse teams across the globe. With a keen interest in AI, she completed the Pg Cert for AI Professionals at University of Galway in 2022 to continue her technology upskilling journey.
In her current role, she leads the Equity Technology function in Asset Management. She is passionate about standardization, reuse and simplification of technology, driving technical standards that enables the teams to focus on high quality, high value business functionality. She demonstrates strong leadership, communication, relationship-building, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
She is passionate about increasing diversity in STEM careers, and is the Ireland regional co-chair of Women In Technology group for Fidelity. She is an active member of the itag AI Forum, leading the AI Ethics engagement.
