Caroline Cawley
CEO, Innovation Technology AtlanTec Gateway (itag)
Caroline has been the CEO and board member of the Innovation Technology AtlanTec Gateway (itag) since 2002. Under her leadership, itag has grown into Ireland's largest industry-led community of technology companies along the AtlanTec Gateway, fostering a robust network of indigenous and multinational firms. The organisation excels in enhancing Ireland's tech landscape by facilitating collaboration through tech talks, networking events, and social gatherings, university collaborations while emphasising the importance of upskilling and developing future technological skills.
Caroline also spearheads itag Skillnet, significantly impacting workforce development by training over 3,000 tech and ICT personnel last year alone, focusing on leadership and technical skills enhancement. Additionally, she co-founded the AtlanTec Festival, a global tech event that celebrates innovation across the AtlanTec Way. Caroline's roles extend to coordinating the Western Region Cyber Ireland Chapter, a board member of Platform94, promoter of an EU project, AI Policy for SME's and promoting initiatives like Teens in Tech and Digital Women, underscoring her commitment to advancing technology in Ireland and she is also an entrepreneur.
