Visual Media Enhancement Laboratory
The research in the Visual Media Enhancement laboratory focuses on improving the quality of media restored through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. Some Examples include Image Colourisation, Video Colourisation, Image Super-Resolution, Video Super-Resolution and Video Frames Per Second Boosting.
Project - Colourisation Using Artificial Intelligence
Manually restoring old and damaged content is a slow and difficult task requiring years of experience. This project intends to make this prosses easier and more accessible. Some of the main issues that currently exist in this area are flicker, poor quality resolution, and low frames per second.
