Dr Andrew DalyDr Daly is an Associate Professor in Biomedical Engineering. Dr Daly is Principal Investigator and Director of the Biofabrication group, which focuses on bioprinting organ models with advanced physiological structure and function. Current projects include a European Research Council Starting Grant on bioprinting models of heart organ morphogenesis (€1.5 million). The group are also leading a Research Ireland Future Digital Challenge Grant focused on creating AI-powered bioprinting technology (€800k) The groups are also working on several projects funded by CÚRAM the Research Ireland Centre for Medical Devices, with a focus on developing organ-on-a-chip platforms. Dr Daly’s research is highly cited and has been published in the top journals in the field, including Nature Communications, Nature Reviews Materials, Cell, Biomaterials, Advanced Science, Advanced Healthcare Materials, and Biofabrication.
